A Primeira Guerra foi muito importante para o processo de integração feminina na sociedade, em um período em que as mulheres eram excluídas de questões políticas, sociais, econômicas entre outras. Durante a guerra as mulheres foram essenciais, elas saíram do espaço doméstico para trabalharem no comércio, na agricultura, em fábricas em geral e principalmente na produção bélica para abastecer os soldados. Na guerra elas prestavam serviços médicos, de transporte e também atuavam como cozinheiras. Assim houve uma drástica mudança nos antigos costumes do papel da mulher na sociedade, que antes eram vistas apenas como donas de casa, em que enquanto seus maridos iam trabalhar elas cuidavam dos afazeres da casa e dos filhos, com a maior participação feminina no mercado de trabalho houve então o fortalecimento de sua luta por direitos iguais.

The First War was very important to the process of feminist integration into society, in a period that women were excluded from political, social and economic issues, among others. During the war women were essential, they left the domestic space to work in commerce, in agriculture and in the factores in general but principally in bellicose production to supply the soldiers. In the war they provided medical services, transportation and also acted as cookers. So there was a drastic change in the old customs of the role of women in society, who were once seen only as housewives, were while their husbands went work they took care of the housework and the children, with the largest female participation in the labor market there was then the strengthening of their struggle for equal rights.
