  Hoje com todo o conhecimento que temos da Segunda Guerra Mundial,você já imaginou que os Aliados poderiam não ter vencido a guerra,e talvez hoje todo o mundo fosse comandado pela Alemanha ? Nos primeiros anos da guerra esse era de fato um perigo eminente, devido a grande avanço alemão proporcionado pela estratégia da Blitzkrieg (guerra-relâmpago), porém tudo mudou no famoso DIA D!   

  Esse evento também foi conhecido como Operação Overlord, aconteceu no dia 6 de Junho de 1944 , sendo o grande marco do ínicio da libertação da França do controle nazista. Tudo aconteceu após uma grande preparação dos Aliados para abrir uma nova front de batalha contra os Alemães, no dia proposto 150 mil homens,5.300 embarcações, 1.200 tanques e 12 mil aeronaves em que suas tropas eram compostas principalmente por ingleses , britânicos e canadenses chegaram na praia da Normandia no Norte da França.

 Como o evento já vinha sendo planejado antes do ataque os Aliados haviam bombardeado pontos estratégicos alemães, e a resistência francesa havia feito um trabalho de sabotagem para impedir a reação dos alemães.

     Os alemães estavam cada vez mais fragilizados. Hitler se refugiou em seu bunker. Os aliados recusaram a paz parcial que foi oferecida por Himmler, Himmler(um dos líderes da organização nazista) não consultou Hitler antes de fazer essa oferta. O suícidio de Hitler, sua esposa e seu ministro da propaganda aconteceu no dia 30 de abril de 1945, e alguns dias depois, houve a rendição oficial da Alemanha.

Agora contaremos alguns fatos curiosos sobre o dia-d. No dia 6 de junho completou 70 anos do dia D,desembarque das forças aliadas na Normandia, na França e outros países importante na guerra. O dia D é chamado assim, pois se refere a uma operação ou início de ataque, ou até mesmo a letra D pode significar decisão, que se referia ao fato da decisão Eua a invasão a Normandia.

Os saldos do combate tiveram cerca de 110.000 mortes 77.866 alemães, 5.001 canadenses, 9.389 norte-americanas e 17.770 britânicos. Mais de 30.000 mil veículos foram utilizados, 13 mil paraquedas e 150 mil soldados foram transferidos para praias francesas.

     Juan Pujol, agente do MI5, serviço britânico de informações de segurança interna e contra-espionagem, foi um nome importante que avisou aos alemães de que o ataque não seria em junho. Seu plano foi tão bem executado que Hitler condecorou com a Cruz de Ferro.

Today with all the knowledge that we have about the Second World War, have you ever imagined that the Allies might not have won the war, and maybe today all the world would be commanded by the Germans? In the early years of the war this was in fact a real danger, due to the great German advance proportionate by the Blitzkrieg strategy (flash war), but everything changed with the famous D-day!

    This event was also known as Overload Operation, it happened on 6th of July, in 1944, being the big milestone in the France libertation of Nazist control. Everything happened after a big preparation of the allies to open a new battlefront against the Germans, in the propose day 150.000 men, 5.300 vessels, 1.200 tanks and 12.000 aircrafts that their troops were composed  mainly by English, Britishes and Canadians arrived in Normandia beach, in the north of France.

As the event had already been planned before the attack of the Allie had bombed strategic German points, and the French resistance had made a sabotage plan to stop the German reaction .

Germans were increasingly weakened. Hitler took refuge in his bunker. The Allies refused the world peace proposed by Himler, Himler(one of the leaders in the Nazi organization)did not consulted Hitler before doing the offer . Hitler’s suicide, of his wife and his minister of propaganda ocurred on April 30,1945, and some days after , there was the official surrender of Germany .  

Now we are going to tell you some curious facts about the D-day. On June 6, it was 70 years of D-day, the landing of allied forces in Normandy, in France and other important countries in the war. D-day is called so because it refers to an operation or beginning of attack, or even the letter D may mean decision, that referred to the fact of the U.S decision to invade Normandy.
