Nazismo

Nazism

The Nazism emerged in 1919, under promises of quick responses to the crisis lived by Germany (World War I crisis). Hitler, as he rode in power, placed himself as responsible for raising the country of chaos, promising the salvation of the working revolution.

Hitler always spoke what the people wanted to hear: blamed liberal politicians for the defeat of Germany in the First World War, like the humiliating conditions that they were forced to live in because of the Treaty of Versailles. In his speeches he always said that the aryan race was superior to the others and that therefore should be treated better. In the same way, Hitler envised German pride, shaking with the population’s emotions.

Nazi politics was totally based on the control of the state on citizens, as well as supporting racism, persecution of government opponents, discrimination, worship of the leader and the strong use of advertising and mass media to ensure the population’s support.

The Nazis under Hitler’s control realized that ideas disclosed by it were one of the main strategies to achieve maximum power.
In political philosophy we have the current called liberalism, created by John Locke, who defended the non-interference from the state in the economy, in people’s way of life, which was completely the opposite of the ideas of totalitarianism (Nazism).

Locke distinguishes very well the political power of the state and the individual. For him, whoever has political power is the institution, and not the one who occupies the political office. In the totalitarianism regime (Nazism) the state controls the whole society, a characteristic that is very contrary to liberalism.

Nazism was against all totalitarian ideas, preferring a great state that controls the life of the population.
