A Guerra Fria foi o nome dado ao período pós 2 Guerra Mundial, onde houve uma disputa não declarada entre as duas potências mundiais na época, EUA e URSS, para ver quem ganharia a hegemonia mundial. 

Após o término da guerra a Europa estava devastada e destruída 

com isso os EUA e a URSS dispararam economicamente e politicamente pois seus territórios não sido danificados da mesma maneira. Seus ideais políticos eram opostos, o que gerou conflito, os EUA comandavam o lado capitalista e a URSS comandavam o lado socialista. 

Mesmo não tendo conflitos diretamente declarados, houve guerras em países da ásia no qual os países se encontravam de lados opostos, como: a Guerra do Vietnã e A Guerra das Coreias. Uma das coisas positivas da Guerra fria foi o avanço tecnológico, ou seja, várias coisas foram descobertas e inventadas, um grande fato ocorrido na Guerra Fria foi a Corrida espacial:

• Tendo a disputa armamentista houve também o desenvolvimento na área da  astronomia, em 1957 os russos lançaram o primeiro satélite artificial para orbitar a Terra, o Sputnik l 
• o EUA também fizeram um grande avanço nessa área, em 1958 lançaram um satélite igualmente aos soviéticos, porém o auge da corrida espacial foi quando o Homem pisou na Lua, o que foi feito pelos americanos na operação espacial Apollo 11. 

O fim da Guerra Fria veio ocorrer somente na década de 90, porém o marco do fim da guerra foi a queda do muro de Berlim que dividia a Alemanha em Oriental e Ocidental sendo um lado socialista e o outro capitalista respectivamente.

Cold War

Cold War was the name given the period after the Second World War, that was a dispute between the two global potentials, USA and URSS, to know who would win the world hegemony.

After the end of the war Europe was destroyed, so the USA and URSS fired economically and politically because their territory wasn’t destroyed in the same way. Their political ideals were opposites, what generated conflict, USA commanded the capitalist side and the USSR commanded the socialist side.

Even though there were no directly declared conflicts, there were wars in Asian countries that were on different sides., like  the Vietnam War and the Korean War. One of the positive things about the Cold War was technological advancement, that a lot of things were invented . An important fact that happened during Cold War was the Space Race:

• With the army dispute there was also development in the astronomy area, in 1957 the russians launched the first artificial satellite to orbit the Earth, Sputnik 1.
• Also in 1958 USA launched a satellite like URSS, but the height of the Spacial Race was when man stepped on the Moon, what was done by the Americans  in space operation Apollo 11.

The end of the Cold War was just in the 90’s, but the landmark of the end of the Cold War was with the fall of the Berlin Wall that divided Germany into oriental and occidental, being one side socialist and the other capitalist respectively.
