It is not known for sure the beginning of football in history, but the first time it was played, it happened in Greece in the 1st century BC, the game was played by soldiers, with sand balls, 9 players participated with two teams.

But is was in England that the rules we know today were implemented, and the leather ball started to be used , and became popular in 1848.

In 1885 it started to be played professionaly, in 1904 FIFA was created, the sport was brought to Brazil by Charles Miller, in 1894 Charles brought a ball and the rules, the first Brazilian soccer team was São Paulo Athletic.

Não se sabe ao certo o início do futebol na história, mas a primeira vez que foi jogado, aconteceu na Grécia no século IaC, o jogo era disputado por soldados, com bolas de areia, 9 jogadores participavam com dois times.

Mas foi na Inglaterra que as regras que conhecemos hoje foram implementadas, e sua bola de couro começou a ser usada e se tornou popular em 1848.

Em 1885 passou a ser praticado profissionalmente, em 1904 foi criada a FIFA, o esporte foi trazido ao Brasil por Charles Miller, em 1894 Charles trouxe a bola e as regras, a primeira seleção brasileira de futebol foi o São Paulo Athletic.
