Cubismo

CUBISM

Cubism was an artistic movement that developed in the early twentieth
century and broke with the representation of reality by using perspective,
which was common since the Renaissance movement in the XIV century. This way, cubism represents objects and people without the illusion of depth, disconnecting from the interpretation of similarity with nature.
Cubist artists also used geometric shapes very often, such as cubes and
cylinders, to represent human figures, and the shapes of nature in a simplified way. In this way, they didn’t have the compromise on how their productions would be, making the public a little bit choked at the beginning.
